Introducing The Metropole
Padstow is one of Cornwall’s most famous towns. Not only is it a delightful harbour town but it is also recognised as the seafood capital of the UK. It is imbued with local tradition including the famous ‘Obby ‘Oss festival that is held each year on May Day.
The Metropole Hotel (known as 'The Met') is a landmark hotel in Padstow. More often than not, this 4 star hotel is the first significant building you notice on entering this vibrant town. Perched on a hill, overlooking the town, harbour and the Camel Estuary, The Met has views that are hard to beat. It’s also one of the only hotels to offer reasonable parking facilities on site (believe us, that is a big bonus here!).
The hotel is certainly a home-from-home....offering cosy nooks from where to watch the hustle and bustle of the little harbour or estuary, comfortable, individually-decorated bedrooms and plenty of delicious food to tempt the taste buds.
Bedrooms at The Metropole
The Metropole has 58 individually appointed bedrooms that are available in a choice of categories: Standard, Select and Premier. All rooms are en suite with bath and overhead shower and are equipped with remote control colour TV, clock/radio, hospitality tray and hairdryer as standard.. more

Around and about Padstow
There is no doubt that The Met enjoys one of the best locations in North Cornwall. Not only do we have the best views of the town, harbour and the Camel Estuary but we’re also very proud of our own gardens, which we have been developing over the past few years. Wherever possible, we have used indigenous species and we have a flourishing herb garden, which our chefs take advantage of!
One thing to be said about Cornwall – whatever you want to see or do, you won't be very far from it! As a peninsular jutting out into the sea, Cornwall is surrounded by beaches. It is also an ecological delight, with heaths, moorland, rolling hills, soaring cliffs and quiet meadows, all of which are havens for wildlife and fascinating plant species… more
